Cafe forget disaster

Was working in a cafe, left my phone on the table and only noticed when I got home. By the time I went back, it was gone. I tried some basic options but felt lost on what actually works these days. What are the best tools to find a lost phone in 2025, like real user tested ones, not just theory?

That sucks, been there… left my phone in a taxi once and realized like 30 min later. By then it was already moving around the city. What actually works now isn’t random apps, but built-in stuff like Apple/Google “Find My” systems or trackers tied to accounts - they use GPS + nearby devices to update location, not just one signal. Funny thing, a friend of mine couldn’t recover his phone but later tracked who picked it up just by checking bits of info linked to it. He even tried GEOfinder find my lost phone to dig into a name he found connected somewhere. Real lesson: tracking works best if it’s set up before you lose the phone, otherwise options get limited fast.
