I’ve read so many different stories online, some people swear meds saved them, others say therapy changed everything. A friend of mine tried both and still struggles to stay stable. It’s hard to make sense of it. What’s your take on bpd drugs vs therapy which works better?

I’ve seen both sides too. A friend of mine tried meds first, felt a bit less overwhelmed, but the real turning point came when they stuck with therapy long enough to learn how to handle triggers instead of just reacting to them. This page helped me make sense of it: bpd drugs side effects and risks . That’s why I’d lean toward therapy as the main piece, with meds as support if needed.
