History
- In the fall of 1977, a small group of believers began to
meet in each others’ homes
- Bound by a strong desire to see the growth of Al-
Islam in America, these believers began their search
for the right space to call home
- After much struggle and sacrifice, the young
community was able to rent a building on Stenton
Avenue, in the Mt. Airy section of the city
- Shortly after moving to Stenton Avenue, the believers
set about the goal of purchasing a building of their
own with the help of Allah (SWT)
- This goal was achieved in August, 1984. On August
31, 1984 the community of Masjidullah opened its
doors at 7700 Ogontz Avenue, Philadelphia, PA
